Preparing stakeholders for a treasury desk briefing

How to brief boards and audit committees without drowning them in venue jargon.

Briefings fail when finance teams over-explain custody mechanics and under-explain decisions. Stakeholders need to know what they are being asked to endorse: a reserve floor, an issuer cap, or a redemption path that names real counterparties.

Send a one-page pre-read with definitions your desk actually uses. During the session, show one redacted balance table and walk through a single stress assumption. Leave forty minutes for questions; the value is usually in the Q&A, not the slides.

If your committee still speaks only in “crypto risk” abstractions afterward, schedule a follow-up with the allocation matrix in hand — vocabulary rarely sticks in a single afternoon.
